Auburn is a delightful contrast of modern convenience and old town charm. This is the place where you go for boutique shopping to find that one-of-a-kind gift. Where Friday evenings buzz with live music and tap houses mixing up the best Moscow mules in town, chilled copper mugs included. And with the Sierra Nevada's in our backyard, this is the place where boundless adventure awaits.
1. Dinner and live music at Tap and Vine
We recommend the Moscow mule and the crusted brie, ooh or the fried chicken...or the short ribs…yeah, pretty much everything they touch is just *chef’s kiss* fantastic.
2. Grab a coffee or a beer at Pour Choice

3. Hike Hidden Falls
A fairly easy hike (walk?) on an endless combination of trails under beautiful trees and along a little stream? Sign us up! There is a $4 fee for parking but it is well worth it.
4. Hike Clementine Trail
This hike can be done with a stroller and takes you along the river, under California's tallest bridge, Foresthill bridge. Small parking fee is required but if you have a CA Poppy pass parking is covered by it.
5. Do a tasting at Mt. Vernon Winery
The tasting room is located in an artfully restored 1950’s milk house but don’t let the elegant English style estate fool you, it’s far from stuffy! They periodically bring in a Caribbean food truck to enjoy in their picnic area along with live music. PS: Dogs are allowed in the tasting room!
6. Flower Farm in Loomis
Ever wanted to stay in a 1905 farmhouse, here’s your chance! They also have whole cottages to rent if you're feeling particularly whimsical. This bed & breakfast /wedding venue is also a citrus orchard, café, nursery and a tasting room, not to mention a seasonal pumpkin patch. Truly a little slice of California history.

Adrenaline junkie? Spend the day traversing the American river! Reasonably priced trips include everything you need(even a lunch on the water mid-day)
8. Old Town Gallery
located in the historic old livery stable building this gallery showcases local art from many disciplines. There’s even a chance you could meet the creator of the piece you are admiring as artists themselves actually take turns working in the gallery each month. Be sure to explore "the pleasures and treasures of Old Town Auburn" with over 60 eateries, art galleries, artisan shops, and museums to peruse.
9. The Ridge Golf Club
Come play a round on this Par-71 course crafted by renowned designer Robert Trent Jones Jr and then head to the club house for a well deserved meal...and their signature Jax Bacon Mary cocktail!
10. Visit the Elevated Lifestyle Homes Team!
We couldn’t put a list of Auburn fun together without mentioning a trip to come see us! We fell in love with our 1938 historic brick building and carefully crafted an office space that feels both relaxing and open. Bonus to being in a large building with lots of neighbors? If you’re hungry the North Fork Deli is downstairs and they have a Reuben sandwich that will knock your socks off.
